Brenda D. Vasser – Lifelong Community Activist

Delta Upsilon Omega Chapter is proud to congratulate our Chapter President, Brenda D. Vasser, for being featured in The Seattle Medium for her work as a lifelong community activist. Ms. Vasser was born and raised in Seattle, and has been working tirelessly for more than 40 years to improve the city’s social and economic conditions. At the young ag of 15, Ms. Vasser took her first advocacy role, serving as a Youth Advocate at the Seattle King County Youth Action Council – and since then, has worked non-stop as a community leader and champion for justice. Ms. Vasser is a Life Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated; she was initiated in 1979 through the Beta Theta Chapter, the Seattle city-wide undergraduate chapter. Click here to read The Seattle Medium article and learn more about Ms. Vasser’s journey.
