Brenda D. Vasser, Delta Upsilon Omega Chapter President, 2017-2018

To members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., friends and supporters,

On behalf of Delta Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, I am pleased to welcome you to our official website.

Alpha Kappa Alpha established the framework for African-American Greek-lettered sororities over 109 years ago. Since the inception of Delta Upsilon Omega Chapter 69 years ago, we have dedicated ourselves to carrying forth the mission of our illustrious organization through our steadfast commitment to leadership and service to all mankind in the Greater Seattle area. Our chapter members continue to proudly lead impactful, award-winning programs focused on eradicating global poverty and improving education, healthy lifestyles and economic empowerment within the African American community. We remain committed to being leaders of change through advocacy and dedicated to addressing disparities within our community.

Our 2014-2018 global program, Launching New Dimensions of ServiceSM, as outlined by our International President, Dorothy Buckhanan Wilson, galvanizes Alpha Kappa Alpha women across the world to focus our talents and resources on supporting and executing program initiatives that enrich the quality of life for all mankind. Delta Upsilon Omega Chapter is excited to continue to lead programs that promote empowerment and peace – as well as address problems concerning women, girls and the betterment of all mankind. As a chapter, we personally and collectively strive to embody sisterhood, scholarship and service.

We hope you will visit our website often for information about our events and programming that serve the needs of the Greater Seattle community. Please like us on Facebook and follow us on Instagram and Twitter at @seattleakas for real-time updates on our events and programming.
