Chapter President’s Message

To members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., friends and supporters,

On behalf of the Seattle Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, I am pleased to welcome you to the official website of Delta Upsilon Omega Chapter.

Alpha Kappa Alpha was the pioneer that established the foundation of sororities for African American women 111 years ago. Seventy-one years ago, Delta Upsilon Omega dedicated itself to the mission of our illustrious organization and continued the legacy of excellence and service to all mankind serving the Greater Seattle area and surrounding community. Our membership continues to implement relevant award-winning programming for the African American community in the areas of education, women’s healthcare and wellness, economic empowerment, the arts, global impact and by supporting historically Black colleges and universities. We remain committed to serving as leaders of change and are dedicated to addressing disparities within our communities.

The 2018-2022 international program, as outlined by our International President, Dr. Glenda Baskin Glover, “Exemplifying Excellence Through Sustainable Serviceunites Alpha Kappa Alpha women all over the world to focus our talents and resources address issues that impact our community. Delta Upsilon Omega is excited and proud to support and execute program initiatives that enrich the quality of life for citizens, promote empowerment and peace and address problems concerning women, girls, and the betterment of all mankind.

As a chapter, we strive to embody three thrusts of our beloved sorority: sisterhood, scholarship and service.

If you are interested in reactivating, transferring or attending a meeting, please send an email to info@akaduo.org. We look forward to welcoming you and hope you will consider Delta Upsilon Omega Chapter as home.

For we know there’s no other like our sisterhood…
